TSI Aerospace provides comprehensive, custom engineering design, certification and installation kit manufacturing for aircraft structural modification, aircraft systems and avionics modifications and upgrades.

Engineer Program Manager

The Program Manager consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.

The Program Manager develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, and staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources. Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project, working with members of Engineering, Operations and Purchasing to ensure all plans are fully covered.

Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. He/she will establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required.

Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications, interfacing with Sales & Marketing and Engineering personnel.

Develops business processes to ensure that developed applications meet all project requirements. Develops and maintains technical and project documentation. Develops quality assurance test plans and directs quality assurance testing. Coordinates project activities with marketing, sales, engineering, operations, customer support, and client staff to ensure goals and requirements are met. Prepares and presents the statement of work and proposals for identified clients in conjunction with account management.

Mechanical Design Engineer

The Mechanical Design Engineer will develop and produce mechanical/structural design data required for the proper manufacture, assembly and installation of aircraft modifications and components.

He/she will research and review engineering data (drawings, reports, manuals, etc.) defining aircraft structure or systems to determine the most efficient method of modification or alteration.

Develop preliminary engineering analysis necessary to substantiate aircraft modifications.

Interface with the Substantiation group and FAA representatives to ensure that all designs meet the established FAA regulatory criteria.

Convert limited modification specification information into engineering design data for use in part manufacturing and installation.

Conduct detailed audits and surveys on site at customer facilities to develop aircraft design concepts and specifications through the interpretation of preliminary specifications and customer interface.

Lead Mechanic

The Lead Mechanic is a working member of his crew, who is charged with the responsibility of leading, directing, assigning and approving the work of the other members of his/her crew. Lead Mechanics are selected for their technical skills with due consideration for their ability to lead people and accept responsibility. The Lead Mechanic is capable of interpreting drawings and blueprints to accomplish a specific task. The Lead Mechanic must have good general knowledge of flight controls, rigging, aircraft systems, landing gear, engines, and hydraulics. He/she understands and follows maintenance manuals and IPCs. The Lead Mechanic has the ability to lead people and accept all responsibility.

Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will provide technical support, supervision and guidance to engineering personnel of various disciplines for engineering programs.

Develop well defined statements of work from limited customer provided specification information and aircraft surveys.

Provide man-hour estimates, project management and accountability of projects undertaken by the Engineering Department and coordinate the program requirements with the Engineering Manager.

Research and review engineering data (drawings, reports, manuals, etc.) defining aircraft structure or systems to determine the most efficient method of modification or alteration.

Develop and produce design data required for the proper manufacture, assembly and installation of aircraft modifications and components.

Develop preliminary engineering analysis necessary to substantiate aircraft modifications.

Review and check the design data produced by design engineers.

Senior Engineer (Avionics, Systems)

The Senior Engineer will utilize analytical/technical skills to initiate plans and develop specifications involving basic design data, technical test equipment modifications and equipment installation.

Write engineering documents for product modifications, airworthiness, compliance, repairs and program management on area of expertise.

Responsible for all aspects of engineering within specified ATA.

Confer with Maintenance on troubleshooting procedures and support of light and heavy maintenance operations.

Prepare technical drawings as required.
